Beginning of 2010 the Belgian Coorevits Group was acquired by DEKRA Claims and Expert Services International. Stefan Kölbl, the CEO of DEKRA AG signed the agreement in Brussels on 20 January 2010. With a volume of more than 82.000 expertises, DEKRA is proud to open its portfolio in car loss adjusting all over Belgium.

The Coorevits Group is made up of the Expertisebureaus in Antwerpen, Gent, Herk-de-stad, Roeselare and Zeebrugge. Its headquarters will remain in Gent. With this acquisition, five more sites and 100 additional employees are added to DEKRA in Belgium.

As of 1st of January 2011 and after merging Coorevits activities with the Expertisebureau Orbex-Muys based in Brussles, together they form DEKRA Automotive Belgium. At the head are managing directors Tom Coorevits and Christian Muys. The service portfolio includes vehicle loss adjusting, fraud expertise, maintenance of second-hand cars, BOAR, CMR and maritime expertise.
